Copper Rain Chain: Unique Water & Sound Feature

Rain chains are decorative cups, trinkets and containers that form a unique water feature along with classical sound features. Attached to each other in a series, the rain chains produce a pleasing sound of the rainwater running down and getting collected into a rain barrel. During rain, the sound produced of falling water is melodious and lovely and appears quite unique. Rain chain is an alternative for rain gutters and pipes that are in use for over a century, which were commonly found in the temples of Japan. These are used in several homes for household purposes or water harvesting.

The rain chain made of copper end up getting a natural green color known as patina. This is due to copper that does not corrode and lasts long. The appearance of water flowing and producing sound along with beautiful color combination is pleasant on the eyes. Copper rain chain is believed to bring in positive flow of energy and stabilize the optimistic energies. The sound is the element that brings positive energy flowing into the house and humans.

Rain chains give easy functionality without any hassles as these do not get clogged easily and are easy to install. The chain is installed by hanging a copper chain, over the barrel which stores water, into the same hole from where gutter pipe comes out. This hole can be resized according to the requirement to fit the chain. It must be ensured that the water does not overflow from the container which can permeate the walls or seep into the basement. Being a decorative accessory, these can be further decorated by tying cups and other trinkets.
